Exactly three weeks after setting off, here we are:

To say we’re happy is an understatement. We’ve completed our challenge and exceeded our fundraising target. We raised £10,171.53 towards the refurbishment of our Warren!
That’s 10,021.53 via JustGiving including Gift Aid + £150 raised offline so far :-)
We’ve lost count of how many miles we travelled, we have a sneaky suspicion that it’s closer to 1200 by the time you count all the detours, all the mileage we shared with you over the last 3 weeks was the 'fastest’ route according to Google Maps. And, as you will recall, dad was quite ‘innovative’ with his use of Garmin.
Speaking of which - I took control of the gadget today. There was no way I was going to end up in Glasgow when I was sooo close to John O’Groats.
After John O’Groats we cycled to Thurso where we are staying overnight. We had an easy day today (what’s 40 miles?!) and will get more rest tomorrow as we’re catching a train back to London with just one change in Inverness. We will be back in Ealing just before 9am on Saturday morning :-).
#nevergive up
Thank you so much for your support, I never thought that my journey would be of interest to so many people. I hope that my achievement will help other people to have faith and confidence in themselves and #nevergiveup - or at least give it your best shot. And for all of us to appreciate the EFFORT just that little bit more. This is perfectly summed up in a comment posted on Rebuild the Warren Facebook group
Have a great evening everyone!!!
Well Done what an amazing achievement, my utmost respect for conquering those hills on bicycles. It was an honour to see you Jonathan and to chat with Brett in Wick. All the very best for your future. After this you are truly invincible….
You did it! What an outstanding achievement, particularly in view of having had to deal with several very challenging set-backs along the way. (If it had all been easy and plain sailing, it wouldn’t have seemed half as much of an achievement, much as I’m sure you would’ve preferred no navigation glitches and fewer gruelling hills!)
Many many congratulations to you both!
When you get back home and get the chance to look back on the whole experience, I’d love to hear what sticks most in your memory as the best highlights.
